According to the Leicester Mercury, Andy King is expected to leave Leicester City on loan before the end of the transfer window later today.
What’s the story?
King was a valuable member of the Foxes’ remarkable side which won the Premier League title in the 2015/16 season. However, his playing time at the King Power Stadium has gradually diminished since that campaign, and he spent the second half of last season on loan at the Liberty Stadium.

The Wales international was not able to help the Welsh outfit stave off relegation from the top flight, but he did produce some impressive performances for the Swans.
The 29-year-old, who has spent his entire ten-year career to date with Leicester (aside from the aforementioned loan spell) has reached a stage in his career when he needs to be playing week in week out. He won’t get that opportunity in Claude Puel’s squad this time around.
A return to Swansea, and a step down to Championship level, would suit King now.
Return of King
Swansea have made a bright start in the Championship under new boss Graham Potter, but could do with some reinforcements being added – especially if they’re to make an immediate return to the top tier of English football.

King would bolster Potter’s midfield contingent and also has the quality to force his way into the starting XI on a regular basis. If King wants to maintain his involvement with the Welsh national team, then being a consistent starter for his club side would be vital.
All in all, King returning to the Liberty would be a move that would suit all involved.
