Crystal Palace fans have taken to Twitter to discuss Victor Camarasa, after the midfielder was still nowhere to be seen in the Eagles’ FA Cup third round tie against Derby on Sunday afternoon.
The Spaniard signed on a season-long loan deal from Real Betis back in the summer, following a 2018/19 campaign in which he scored five Premier League goals and grabbed four assists while on loan with Cardiff, winning their Players’ Player of the Season award for his efforts.
However, Roy Hodgson has afforded the 25-year-old just five Premier League minutes of action.
Against the Rams at Selhurst Park on Sunday, Camarasa was still nowhere to be seen as he wasn’t even part of the former England manager’s 18-man matchday squad.
According to Spanish outlet Estadio Deportivo, it is very likely that Real Betis will take Camarasa back in the January transfer window as they do not want their asset to become devalued by a lack of playing time in south London, which is fair enough in truth.
Let’s see what the Palace fans on Twitter have been saying about the midfielder’s exclusion against Derby…
Interestingly, these three fans think that Camarasa is gone following his exclusion from the matchday squad against Derby.
The first two supporters of this trio simply said “bye Camarasa” after seeing Hodgson’s teamsheet, while another said “that’s Camarasa gone” when the lineup was revealed an hour before kick-off.
Elsewhere, this fan named Tom didn’t jump to any conclusions like the above supporters, although he did state that he feels for Camarasa after he was once again left out by Hodgson.
This supporter named Ryan left a lot to be desired with his comment, although the use of an investigative-looking emoji hinted that he thinks there is a deeper meaning to Camarasa not even being named on the bench.
