Leeds United fans on Twitter have been ripping into Jarrod Bowen after he put in a less than impressive performance in their game against Hull on Tuesday evening.
The winger is currently the second top-scorer in the Championship, but he looked bang average against Marcelo Bielsa’s side as the Whites’ defence easily nullified any threat that he posed.
Funnily enough, this poor performance came just days after United were reported to be interested in signing him.
The stats say it all really, The 22-year-old failed to have a single shot on target, and despite making four dribbles throughout the game he failed to make a single key pass, and he only delivered two crosses.
There was plenty of anticipation around the 14-goal ace visiting Elland Road as United supporters had been talking about his threat earlier this week, but it seems as if they had very little to actually worry about.
Some supporters didn’t hold back when talking about Hull’s talisman.
Others were quick to make fun of the attacker as many pondered whether or not he was actually on the pitch, while others claimed that he went missing during the game.
While others wanted to knock Bowen down a peg or two, some supporters wanted to take this as an opportunity to praise Stuart Dallas for the job he did on him at full-back.
To be fair, Bowen hasn’t simply become a bad player overnight, and Dallas does deserve a lot of credit for nullifying the threat he posed.
Meanwhile, we’ve ranked general election outcomes based on how they’d affect Leeds’ chances of receiving investment from QSI.
