A video showing two builders planting a Portsmouth shirt in the recently refurbished training ground of rivals Southampton has gone viral.
The two Pompey workers, who are currently working on the build of Southampton’s newest training facility, tried to spoil the project by hiding a Portsmouth shirt and scarf behind a wall, while at the same time referring to their close rivals as “scum”.
The video opens with one of the cheeky workers, who was recording it on his phone, saying: “And here we are, working at scum training ground, Marchwood Southampton.”
His colleague steps into shot seconds later and shows the inside of the wall that he is about to build – where a Pompey shirt and scarf were planted by the troublesome duo.
“Nice little surprise for the scum if they ever decide to take the wall down,” says the cameraman just before he closes the video by saying: “We hate the scum.”
The short video is entitled ‘Pompey VS Scum 2013 In The Wall Documentary’ and has received more than 8,500 views in two days.
It is unknown whether the two builders were called back to work this morning. Nevertheless, It looks like every team should be extra careful about who they let give their training ground a new lick of paint from now on…
